Happy Birthday
Today I covered a regional gathering of about 400 members of the Red Hat Society at Diamond Jack's Casino Resort next to the Red River in Bossier City. The members were celebrating the society's April 25 birthday at a one-day mini convention.........and indeed there were women in red hats everywhere!
It was one of those assignments that you know has the potential to make a nice shot. I found this angle as I was leaving the event. The ladies were on a "break" and mingling in the lobby as the look over several tables full of accessories.
I like the photo because it isn't the typical shot that you might see from a gathering of one of the chapters.
It was obvious that all of the Red Hat chapters from ArkLaTex and beyond that attended the Red Hat Diamond Dazzle had a great time.

What a great idea for a romance novel - May - December romance blossoms between a younger hot shot photographer and a slightly older woman in a red hat.
I bet those ladies loved having you around taking their pictures.
Yes, the Red Hatter's loved having Jim around, he was everywhere, they saw Jim and his camera, however, they had no idea he was from The Times, which made it exciting and mysterious. The fast flashes made the day. We had 400+ Red Hatter's attending and Jim was able to capture everyone having a great time. Thanks Jim, for being there - We hope you win the challenge. You were certainly out numbered. Princess
