The Barksdale Air Force base Defenders of Liberty Air Show was this weekend. A friend asked me, "How was it?"
"Same as last year.....and the year before that," was all I could really come up with. It's a challenge to come up with something new for events that occur every year.

It was my first time at the Barksdale air show, but I have been to others. The runway was so far in the distance and the Thunderbirds, B-52s, Mazdas, Enormous broadcasting van, and various stunt planes parked in the line of sight was rather disappointing. It didn't help that there were several large areas of reserved seating or private parties that were generally empty on Sunday.
It was much smaller in exhibits and performance than the Carswell AFB (Fort Worth, Tx) air shows of my childhood.
