Kings of the Road

I recently worked on a self-assigned projects of portraits of a couple of guys with their custom car creations. There are so many kinds of custom vehicles out there, so rather than try to include a street racer, a truck, a hot rod, a chopper, a lowrider or try to show all the customizations like audio, paint, body work, wheels and so on, I just found Chuck and Carlos Raye who run their own shop and asked them to display their own personal rides.

Check out the audio slideshow set to the music of Davenport, a local artist here in Shreveport.

The copy that ran with the images is from Times reporter Teddy Allen who whipped up a couple words in a matter of seconds.

They say you can tell a lot about a person by the car they drive.

If that's true, a lot of people have custom-built bodies, personality that shines like chrome, beliefs tough as leather, minds that race 'round and 'round like hubcap spinners or big wheels that keep on turnin'.
