Junior Deputies

Crystal Bordelon listens during the annual Caddo Sheriff's office CSI Camp for Kids at Summer Grove Baptist Church in Shreveport. Bordeon, who was in group 1, was entertaining herself before making her shoeprint impression.

It was a make-believe crime, but the junior deputies spent the day trying to name a suspect during the camp, learning from real sheriff's crime scene investigators how crimes are solved. Other activities included participating in practical exercises involving photography, fingerprint identification and shoeprint impressions.

Crystal's hat is certainly not regulation for the Sheriff Department, but at least the kids had fun and hopefully learned a few things during Spring Break.
