Enough Already!

Enough already!

I'm wet, my boots are wet, my garage if flooded, my garden is soaked and the grass in my yard is probably going to be a foot tall before I get a chance to mow this weekend................ if it stops raining.

While wondering around the region today, in the rain, I found a lot of interesting things to photograph. I found a log swooshing down the Red River, a duck swimming in standing water in a grassy area at Riverview Park and the "No Swimming" sign almost totally under water at the Stoner Boat launch.

According to a news update at Shreveporttimes.com we have set a record for rainfall today. Between midnight Thursday and 11 a.m. Friday, Shreveport officially received 3.91 inches of rain, setting a new record for today's date. The old record was 3.36 inches, set in 1950, according to Nick Fillo, a meteorologist with the local offices of the National Weather Service.

A word of advice to all of those folks flocking to the casinos for their "lucky" day tomorrow 7/7/07.

Where your lucky hat, I bet it will rain!
