Smileys for Everyone
If only everyone had some special attribute about them that let me know right away whether or not it was okay to take their photograph...like a smiley face right on their hands. Well, that's what the folks over at LSU Health and Sciences Center did with some kids that were taking part in National Doctors Day festivities.
In order for the photogs there to distinguish between the kids whose parents had signed the hospital's consent form and those who had not, administrators drew little smiley faces on their hands.
It was something simple that made things easier for us...that is, of course, until the kids donned surgical gloves.
There were eight kids and eight members of the media. It sort of felt like this was a "media event", but in the end, it doesn't really matter, because the kids were all smiling and having a good time.
Everyone should have smiley faces and name tags!
